Grow Your Green Food team winds up season

The Grow Your Green Food (GYGF) team wound up the season's farming activities in their communal farm area in MES Indian School.

In his opening speech, general convenor Dias Thottan thanked Anwer P P who worked for getting the area for communal farming, and thanked Abdul Saleem Nechiyil and Robin Jose for their active involvement.

Qget (Qatar Chapter of Government Engineering College Alumini) president Tomy K V presented a memento to Anwer, senior member Mathew Francis to Nechiyil and senior member John E J to Robin Jose.

GYGF convenor Akhil C K presented the timeline for the season’s communal farming activities and Nechiyil the summary of the 201kg organic vegetables harvested from the communal farming area.

Tomatoes, bottle guard, snake gourd, brinjal, cabbage, pumpkin, Indian cucumber, long beans ,amara, cauliflower, bitter guard and okra were the major vegetables grown and harvested from communal farming area in this season.

These were shared among GYGF team members weekly during their Friday morning visits to the area.
