Minister of Municipality: future plans, initiatives to advance agricultural, fisheries sectors, enhance food security – The Peninsula

Minister of Municipality HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie revealed the Ministry's future plans and initiatives in the field of developing services, advancing the agricultural and fisheries sectors, and enhancing food security.

In an interview with Al-Raya newspaper, His Excellency announced the Ministry's plans and programs during the coming period, which include: agricultural support initiatives for farm owners and farms, the development of farms and their complexes, projects to increase the productivity of agricultural crops, and raising self-sufficiency in red meat, eggs, milk, and poultry.

He noted the waste treatment and recycling projects, rehabilitation and management of transfer stations, projects for planting green fodder using treated water, producing concentrated feed, fresh fish and shrimp, as well as an integrated program for food waste, and the initiative to enhance the capabilities of research stations and agricultural laboratories.

HE Minister drew attention to initiatives in the field of urban planning, which includes: development and implementation of an integrated national plan for infrastructure at the state level, development of the urban planning management framework, the management of the infrastructure planning database, amending the public and private state property law, amending the law on the temporary expropriation and seizure of real estate for the
