Ministries highlight roles in protecting environment and encouraging farming

Spreading the message of 'Green Desert and Better Environment' and helping visitors learn about the latest technologies in environmental protection and agriculture, the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) are taking part in the 9th Qatar International Agriculture Exhibition (AgriteQ 2022) and the 3rd Qatar International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).

The exhibitions, which opened on Thursday, are running until March 14. The pavilion of the Ministry of Municipality highlights its contributions and role in the development of the agricultural sector and schemes to encourage local farmers. HE the Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie, while addressing the inaugural ceremony, said that the exhibitions comes as part of the ministry’s strategy to support food security in Qatar and is inspired by the vision of the wise leadership and the Qatar National Vision 2030 while working to achieve self-sufficiency in all aspects of food. Showcased at the exhibitions are many modern innovations in agricultural technologies and environmental sustainability.
