PM opens 9th AgriteQ and EnviroteQ exhibitions – The Peninsula

The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani inaugurated the ninth Qatar International Agricultural and Environmental Exhibition 2022 yesterday at DECC in West Bay.

Together with a number of ministers and dignitaries, the PM toured around pavilions, checked on the local produce and the greenhouse and shrimp farming of Agrico Qatar.

The PM also visited the booth of Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and Ministry of Municipality wherein a dedicated area for Expo 2023 Doha Qatar is being showcased. He was briefed with the latest technologies on agriculture, environmental sustainability and food security.

Minister of Municipality, H E Dr Abdulla bin AbdulAziz bin Turki Al Subaie said that this year’s edition comes within the framework of the Ministry’s strategy to support food security in the country. He also stressed that the exhibit will showcase various innovations in agricultural technologies and environmental sustainability, and launch projects and initiatives. Moreover, he said that AgriteQ and EnviroteQ will be adopted on the international agenda.

For his part, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, H E Dr Sheikh Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani said the event confirms the efforts made by Qatar in protecting
