Saudi Arabia’s KSrelief distributes over 151 tons of food aid in six countries

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed over 151 tons of food aid in six countries as part of a massive Ramadan food distribution campaign.

Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, as well as disadvantaged families in the host community of Akkar governate, received 39 tons of food aid.

In Indonesia, more than 36 tons of food aid were provided to 900 families while in Bangladesh about 12 tons of food baskets were distributed to 500 families.

The KSrelief team also gave out eight tons of food baskets to 300 people in Albania as part of a campaign to provide 2,000 food baskets across the country during Ramadan.

In Nigeria’s Borno, 56 tons of food baskets were given to 5,736 individuals.

To support food security in Liberia, KSrelief handed over more than 29,000 rice bags to be distributed among over 88,000 beneficiaries.

“The distribution comes as part of relief and humanitarian projects that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to needy countries worldwide during the blessed month of Ramadan,” read a statement posted on the Saudi Press Agency.
