'Choose your doctor' scheme registration set. Registration for 'Choose your doctor' initiative will begin at A'ali Health Centre this weekend (Saturday), the Ministry of Health announced.. The 'Choose Your Doctor' initiative allows citizens to select a family physician.. Once chosen, the selected general practitioner would be available to keep a record of the patient's medical history and will continue to treat him/ her in case of any follow up appointments.. The doctor is expected to be able give a more personalised treatment and keep a closer eye on the patient which may not have been possible with the old system, where doctors are randomly assigned The project "Choose Your Doctor" has been implemented in eight health centres - A'ali Health Centre, Kuwait Health Centre, Ahmed Ali Kanoo Health Centre, Health Centre in Arad, Isa Town Health Centre, Bilad Al Qadeem Health Centre, Boomahir Health Centre and Hamad Town Health Centre.. It was also implemented at the BBK Health Centre in Al Hidd on January 5, 2020, and the registration and selection phase of the family doctor has been completed and is awaiting actual implementation soon in five other health centres..
