Dewa launches new RD centre at Dubai solar park – ZAWYA

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has inaugurated Dubai Electricity and Water Authority's (DEWA's) Research and Development (R&D) Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.. Sheikh Mohammed later visited the various sections and labs of the R&D Centre along with Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council and Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State.. The centre has various internal and outdoor labs to study the performance and reliability of PV panels.. The outdoor labs include testing different solar panel technologies and performance, as well as a safe zone for testing drones.. Sheikh Mohammed also met a number of the R&D Centre's researchers and experts..
