Alba developing road map to realise ESG goals | THE DAILY TRIBUNE | KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) announced collaborating with a top-class sustainability consultant to develop a fully-fledged roadmap to realise its ESG goals in line with Bahrain’s commitment for ‘Net Zero Emissions’ by 2060. Alba said its roadmap would lay out quick wins, short-term and long-term goals in line with the Company’s Mission to inspire change and boost its status as an Aluminium Stewardship Initiative certified aluminium producer. Alba recently issued a Public Tender for installing solar panels at its Solar Farm to diversify energy sources and adopt clean energy. The move, Alba said, is in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and Green/Renewable Energy Targets led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Solar Farm project will have a capacity of more than 5 MW and cover an approximate surface area of 37,000 sq. meters spread over operational areas, car parks and Alba Club.
