Bahrain is witnessing an increasing growth in various sectors, particularly involving the national workforce. Labour and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan attributed this to the implementation of the government’s economic recovery plan, which is aimed at job creation, accelerating the pace of employment of citizens, and job stability. This came as Humaidan, who is also Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Board of Directors chairman, met the Secretary-General of the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, Abdul Qader Abdul Karim Al Shehabi, in his office yesterday. He noted that the most important ground on which the plan is based requires strengthening cooperation and coordination with various relevant authorities to achieve the common national goals that the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aspires to. During the meeting, they discussed the economic recovery plan, the launch of the initiatives of the various sectors, particularly the industrial sector; and the investment of the sector’s advancement plan to employ more citizens in this promising sector.
