Employment program develops private sector and national economy: Al Awadhi

Businessman Mr. Yaqoob Al Awadhi said that the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to launch the National Employment Program 2.0 will undoubtedly contribute to the development of private sector institutions and help them meet challenges by reducing operating expenses depending on government support for part of the salaries of Bahraini employees, and in addition to the contribution of this program to increasing job opportunities for citizens, it boosts market turnover and the development of the national economy.



Al Awadhi expressed the optimism of private sector institutions with this ambitious program, which aims to create 25 thousand jobs in 2021 and provide 10 thousand training opportunities annually, in addition to allocating Tamkeen to a budget of 120 million dinars for three years (2021-2023), which represents twice what has been allocated during the past five years, to support the employment of Bahrainis through the wage subsidy program. This is beside the increase in the amounts and duration of support provided to those registered on the Ministry of Labor and Social Development lists and new entrants to the labor market.
