HRH Prince Salman calls for boosting investment in renewable energy | THE DAILY TRIBUNE | KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday stressed the need for investing in renewable energy to support the Kingdom’s economic growth. This would also “contribute to current and future sustainable development efforts,” said the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. In this regard, HRH Prince Salman also highlighted the depth of relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, which has bolstered cooperation on energy sector projects. The comments come as HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister received the Chairman of ACWA Power, Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan, at Riffa Palace. During talks, HRH emphasised the crucial role of the private sector in supporting global sustainable development goals. Abunayyan thanked the commitment of HRH the Crown Prince to strengthening cooperation between the two countries. The Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, were present during the meeting held yesterday at the Riffa Palace.
