Justice Ministry, BIBF sign cooperation agreement to train judges

The Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry, the Waqf (Endowment) Fund and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), the leading institution for training and development in the region, signed a cooperation agreement to train judges in the areas of traditional banking, Islamic finance, insurance, real estate and digital transformation, in cooperation with the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI). Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB)’s Waqf Fund, Khalid Hamad Al-Hamad and BIBF Director-General, Ahmed Abdul Hameed Abdul Ghani Al-Shaikh, signed the agreement, in the presence of CBB Governor, Rasheed Al-Maraj. The agreement is part of the Kingdom’s plans to consolidate the elements that attract investment, including enhancing the specialisation of commercial courts, as the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute provides specialised training based on the best local and regional practices, with the aim of qualifying specialised judicial competencies and experts, in cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council.
