Law on Restorative Justice for Children takes effect today in Bahrain

The Law on Restorative Justice for Children, which takes effect today, will consolidate Bahrain’s status in protecting child rights. This was emphasised by Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan as h paid inspection visits yesterday to the Child Welfare Home in the Seef District and the Child Protection Centre in Gudaibiya. Minister Humaidan, also Chairman of the National Childhood Committee, said that the Child Shelter Home is an initiative launched within the framework of cooperation and integration with other government departments, such as the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry, the Interior Ministry and the Public Prosecution.
