SCE holds seminar on the awareness of preserving climate

Under the patronage of the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina, the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) held an awareness-raising seminar, marking the National Environment Day, celebrated every February 4, under the theme "We Preserve the Climate to Protect Future Generations“.



A number of government and private sector entities, in addition to environmental and climate affairs experts and officials participated in the seminar.



In his opening speech, Dr. Bin Daina affirmed Bahrain's continuous commitment to its role towards the international treaties and covenants related to protecting the environment and climate change, through its contributions to international efforts and the local programmes and projects it is implementing to adapt to the impacts of climate change.



He highlighted the interest of the SCE in research, development and creativity, in addition to spreading social awareness on the concept of adapting to the effects of climate change in order to strengthen national solidarity and enhance social responsibility towards achieving a sustainable environment.
