CAIRO – 8 April 2021: In an unprecedented incident over the history of the Egyptian judiciary, a court judge fined himself LE 500 for disturbing a trial after his personal mobile phone rang during a trial he considers, Al Masry Al-Youm newspaper reported two days ago. Judge Mohsen Klop, the Vice President of the State Council and the Head of the Administrative Judiciary Court in Aswan, fined himself for disturbing the trial. However, the judge has been summoned for the investigations for his decision as it stipulates that the fine shall be imposed against the head of the Administrative Court, but Klop, in fact, is the judge is the head of a department of the Administrative Court in Aswan not the President of the Administrative Court as a whole, which made him fine another judge, a judicial source told Masrawy.
