Egypt’s culture min. launches a heritage photography competition in Cairo – Egypt Today

CAIRO – 11 April 2022: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, launched "My Heritage for Photography in Cairo & the Cities of the Islamic World" competition, to celebrate Cairo as the capital of culture in the Islamic world. This comes in cooperation with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the National Organization for Urban Harmony headed by Mohamed Abu Saada. The Ministry of Culture called on photographers in Egypt and the Islamic world and members of ICESCO to use their lenses and shed them on the relics of the architectural heritage owned by the member states of the organization, to highlight the aesthetics of the architectural heritage, its details, and its formulation in an artistic photograph that reveals the cultural dimension and the architectural heritage that is represented in the buildings and heritage areas. The deadline for receiving contestants’ inquiries will be August 10, 2022. These inquiries will be answered no later than September 1, 2022. The deadline for receiving works will be September 18, and the exhibition’s participants will be announced on October 13, 2022.
