Egypt’s Economy Grew an Annualized 2% in Q2 of Fiscal Year 2020-2021 – Minister

Egypt's economy recorded an annualized growth rate of 2% in the second quarter of its 2020-2021 fiscal year, and 1.35% in the first half of the same, Planning Minister Hala Al-Saeed said in a statement on Wednesday.

Saeed says Egypt's economy was expected to grow 2.8% in the third quarter, and 5.3% in the fourth quarter.

Egypt's economy grew by 5.6% in the first half of fiscal year 2019-2020, Saeed said. Egypt's fiscal year begins in July.
