Egypt’s Sisi directs to strengthen cooperation with international development partners in environment, green transformation

CAIRO -13 February 2022: In a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed to strengthen cooperation with international development partners in issues pertaining to environment and green transformation, including the state's national project to advance lakes across the country and preserve their biodiversity, said Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady in a statement on Sunday. President Sisi followed-up on the state's strategy for cooperation with international partners in various national development projects, Rady added. The President also directed to optimize development cooperation to support the state’s efforts in achieving comprehensive and sustainable economic growth, enhancing competitiveness and stimulating the role of the private sector in increasing growth rates. This is in addition to strengthening the state’s efforts to invest in infrastructure and human capital through the Decent Life Initiative, while simultaneously continuing to increase developmental successes in those sectors, through various international platforms. Al-Mashat reviewed the most prominent efforts of development cooperation with international partners to mobilize all forms of support necessary for the major development projects underway in various sectors in Egypt. This takes place through development cooperation strategies that were prepared with the participation of all concerned parties
