German Siemens CEO: 1st phase of electric train project in Egypt to provide 15000 job opportunities

CAIRO – 15 January 2021: German Siemens's CEO Joe Kaeser said the new high-speed electric train project that the company will implement in Egypt will help provide 15,000 job opportunities in the field of construction in its first phase.

This phase will also provide 2,000 permanent job opportunities, Kaeser said in an interview with Sherif Amer on MBC Masr, adding that the train project will be similar to the one in Germany.

Kaeser hailed Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for being strong, cooperative and for being a man of his word. He said the president cares about the details and is skillful in negotiations.

The negotiations on the electric train system has been open and very respectful, he said.
