President Sisi heads to UK to attend COP26 Summit

CAIRO – 21 October 2021: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi headed Sunday to the United Kingdom to attend the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26 summit) held in Glasgow on October 31-November 12. The meetings of heads of state within the conference are taking place on Sunday and Monday. The last state visit by President Sisi was to the Hungarian capital Budapest earlier in October to take part in the Visegrad Group Summit, including Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. According to Presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady, this was the second time for Egypt’s President Sisi to take part in Visegrad gathering after 2017.
