Private sector plays key role in dev of Gulf economy – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS – Arab Times Kuwait English Daily

RIYADH, Dec 13: The private sector plays a key role in the development and integration of Gulf economy, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers (FGCCC), Samir Nass said earlier on Sunday. Nass, who is heading Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said at the 56th meeting of the Federation’s Board of Directors that economic integration projects such as the customs union, the Gulf market, the railway network, food security, and the localization of investment. All these issues are related to the private sector at the first place, and form together best means to encounter challenges facing the Gulf economies, he added.

He expressed his pride in holding this meeting along with the timing of holding the upcoming 42nd Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Riyadh on December 14. Meanwhile, the First Vice-President of the Federation of Gulf Chambers, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Ajlan Al-Ajlan, expressed his aspiration to achieve achievements and work to remove obstacles and intensify incentives to allow Gulf private sector to practice its national role.
