Jan. 6 Committee Seeks Info From Rudy Giuliani, Chairman Says

Share to Linkedin The committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the U. S. Capitol plans to reach out to former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, Rep. Giuliani has not been issued a subpoena and it's unclear when the committee will contact him, but Thompson confirmed to CNN that it will do so at some point. Thompson said the committee "absolutely" plans to talk to Giuliani, calling him an "integral part of whatever happens" with the investigation. Giuliani was reportedly part of a small group of former President Donald Trump's advisors present at the Willard Hotel in Washington leading up to January 6, 2021, along with the likes of Steve Bannon and right-wing legal scholar John Eastman. At the hotel, the group strategized plans about overturning the election just hours before the mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, according to the Guardian.
