Jordan, US talk ties, partnership – Roya News English
Ayman Safadi, the foreign minister, met with US top officials in Amman to discuss Jordan-US ties and partnership.
US Special Assistant to the President and National Security Council Senior Director for Middle East and North African Affairs Barbara Leaf, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Yael Lempert and Safadi discussed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the two countries’ partnership, which will replace the previous one that ends at the end of September.
Safadi, who is also the deputy prime minister, praised the US for its support for Jordan, highlighting its importance for the Kingdom’s development efforts, as well as its efforts in grappling with the challenges of hosting refugees.
