The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Energy Centre Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Energy Centre with the aim of implementing smart cities and encouraging transfer of information between the government, business and academic sectors in Oman. The ministry said in a statement: "The agreement includes cooperation involved in the field of smart public services, infrastructure and smart environmental solutions, which will be applied in manging waste water, lighting system, water metre reading and electricity solutions."
