Oman Business: Oman’s Jusoor launches four projects worth $894m – Gulf Digital News





Oman’s Jusoor Foundation has marked the launch of four projects, to the tune of RO345,000 ($894 million), implemented within its social investment program in North Al Batinah. The projects were funded jointly by OQ and Sohar Aluminium.



The ceremony was held in Al Qurm Natural Park in Shinas, under the auspices of Sayyid Khalifa Al Mardas Al Busaidi, Secretary General for Governorates Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, reported Oman News Agency (ONA).



The event was attended by Sheikh Saif Hamiyar Al Malik Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah, Chairman of Jusoor Foundation’s Board of Directors.



 The first project was the development of the 28,000-sq-m Al Qurm Natural Park in the Wilayat of Shinas with a total cost of RO 200,000 funded by Sohar Aluminium and OQ, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior.



The development included the implementation of a 3 km walkway, an arena theatre, a migratory bird viewing platform, 11 family rest areas and barbecue sites, as well as the construction of a crossing bridge over the waterway, children's games, green fields and a cafe.
