Oman Pavilion at Expo 2020 marks women’s achievements

Muscat – Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai organised a panel discussion on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day on Sunday with the participation of a group of leading Omani women personalities representing various sectors. According to a statement, the participants discussed inspiring stories of Omani women in the business environment and their contributions to achieving a sustainable and innovative economic future. A commemorative postage stamp on Omani Women’s Day was unveiled on the occasion, while the brand ‘Talid’ was launched in a store in the sultanate’s pavilion under the patronage of Hon Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, Member of the State Council. She said in a statement that the occasion showcased the role of Omani women in development and sustainability, in addition to what they have achieved in different fields. Entrepreneur Kamel bin Ali al Awfiya said that a delegation of businesswomen from Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in a discussion held in the GCC pavilion. “Bilateral meetings held between Omani businesswomen and businesswomen of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry sought to start business partnerships,” she said.
