Oman to celebrate National Day at Dubai Expo

The sultanate will celebrate its National Day in a gala event at Oman Pavilion in the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai on November 21. The event will begin with welcoming Royal Navy of Oman’s Shabab Oman II, which will set sail from Sultan Qaboos Port for the United Arab Emirates on November 7. The ship will carry students from across the Gulf Cooperation Council and the world as part of a cultural exchange. Speaking about the celebration, Alya al Hosni, director of Oman Vision 2040 in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and the National Day Celebration Programme at Expo 2020 Dubai, said, “It will consist of three main events, starting with the official delegation of the government receiving Shabab Oman II, followed by an event hosted by Expo 2020’s organising committee to celebrate our National Day. Finally, there will be a formal evening reception to showcase Omani culture to the world.” There will also be a fashion event showcasing creations of Omani designers with an objective to reach out to international audiences.
