Sayyid Fahd to lead Oman’s delegation at 42nd GCC summit

Riyadh: Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states seek to consolidate their joint march of collaboration in different fields with a view to realising the aspirations of their peoples. The Sultanate of Oman has stressed that it would continue to support the GCC march and enhance all endeavours to serve Arab and Islamic issues. It also vowed to consolidate ties of cooperation and understanding among friendly countries. On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, will head the Sultanate of Oman's delegation at the summit. In its 150th preparatory session for the summit, held here on Sunday by the Ministerial Council, the GCC states affirmed that "The GCC summit of bounty and prosperity will continue to achieve the common goals of member states. A statement issued at Al Ola Summit at the conclusion of the 41stGCC summit, "Summit of Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah", underscored the keenness of GCC leaders to safeguard the gains of the GCC region and realise the aspirations of its peoples, as well as joint action to address the challenges that come in the way of the GCC march."
