State Council discusses general budget, tenth five-year plan

Muscat: The second annual convening of the seventh term of the State Council has seen increasing activities in consistent with the Royal Care accorded by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, which aimed at further cementing foundations of consultation and for enhancement and activation of the role of the State Council, said Khalid bin Ahmed Al Saadi, Secretary General of the State Council. The second annual convening of the seventh term of the State Council has acquired exceptional significance as it coincided with the issuance of the Basic Law of the State, promulgated by Royal Decree No. 6/2021 and the Law of the Council of Oman, issued by Royal Decree No. 7/2021, he added. He said that in the second annual convening of the seventh term, the State Council has discussed a number of draft laws referred to the State Council and a number of proposals and studies, the 10th Five- Year Development Plan (2021-2025) and the General Budget of the State for the Fiscal Year 2021, among other issues.
