HBKU graduation celebrates its keenness to keep pace with country’s needs – The Peninsula

Doha: Qatar’s homegrown institute for research and graduate studies, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) celebrated academic achievements of the Class 2022 demonstrating its continuous growth to keep a pace with the country’s future needs.

The Class of 2022 graduated 215 students in the presence of the Speaker of Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdulla Al Ghanim, Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Vice-Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation (QF) and Chairperson of HBKU’s Board of Trustees H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani and other dignitaries, at Multaqa in education City yesterday.

The graduates represented 47 countries; 52 are Qataris and 144 are female from six colleges across the university.

HBKU President, Dr. Ahmad M Hasnah said: “Since its inception, the challenges faced by Qatar in its public and private sectors have been at the core of HBKU’s educational and research vision. Today, the university is graduating a new cohort of its students to be active and supportive of the development and growth of their countries.
