Ooredoo, Siemens, Microsoft sign MoU at Smart City Expo – The Peninsula

Doha: Ooredoo Qatar, a leading one-stop national provider of ICT, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Siemens and Microsoft, during the Smart City Expo which concluded recently.

The objective of the MoU is to develop digital, Internet of Things (IoT) and software analytics solutions and related use cases by leveraging the expertise and technologies of the signatories. These will be used to serve smart infrastructure applications in different market segments, typically in cities, buildings, utilities and industries.

Thani Ali Al Malki, Executive Director Business at Ooredoo, said, “The development of smart cities is a key priority for Qatar and the advancement of the country’s digital economy in general.
