Qatar PM establishes Executive Office; Aims to enhance govt performances

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani has issued decision no. 12 of 2021 to establish Prime Minister’s Executive Office, which will be directly under the Cabinet.

According to the statement, the Executive Office aims to improve the effectiveness of government performance as well as ensure the achievement of objectives entrusted to ministries and other government agencies, and public bodies and institutions.

It will also provide strategic support to these entities in order to ensure that government activity is carried out at the highest levels of cooperation, integration, effectiveness, and achievement.

“The Executive Office of the Prime Minister is responsible for following up on the implementation of approved plans, programs, projects and initiatives in all economic, social, human and environmental fields,” as per the statement.

It will also track the progress of the goals set, and assist ministries and other government entities with the implementation of their various plans and programs. Further, the office will establish an integrated work system, including the development of policies and procedures for follow-up, evaluation, and support for the implementation of plans, programs, projects, and initiatives in various fields.
