Sheikh Dr. Khalid hosts head of Turkish investment office – The Peninsula

Doha: H E Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), received H E Ahmet Burak Daglioğlu, President of the Investment Office of the Turkish Presidency and a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Sovereign Wealth Fund, during a dinner at his Majlis.

The meeting was attended from the Turkish side by Abdullah Deniz and Levent Koçukabadan, representatives of the Turkish Investment Office in Qatar, and Melih Ijrtas, a member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines.

The meeting was also attended by Rashid bin Nasser Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of QIIB; Sheikh Turki bin Khalid Al Thani, Managing Director of QIIB; and Dr. Abdul Basit Ahmed Al Shaibi, Chief Executive Officer of QIIB.

During the meeting they discussed investment opportunities and ways to support the business sector between the two countries.

They also discussed various economic issues to serve the consolidation of brotherhood and cooperation between the business community in both countries.

For his part, Sheikh Dr. Khalid praised the strong fraternal relations that link Qatar and Turkey in various fields.
