KSA Business: Over 140,000 homes coming up in Saudi residential suburbs – Gulf Digital News

Saudi Arabia has announced that work is progressing well on seven major residential suburbs being developed in major cities across the kingdom under its Sakani Housing programme. Once completed, it will add 146,500 new homes into the kingdom's real estate market.

These residential suburbs are coming up on a total area of ​​more than 53 million sq m in partnership with a number of real estate developers from the private sector.

Al Gwan suburb, spread over a 4700 sq m area in the north of Riyadh, has 14 housing projects under construction, which on completion, will provide more than 73,000 housing units.

Al-Jawhara suburb, located in Jeddah Governorate, is characterized by a growth in implementation rates according to the timetables set for it. 

It includes 20,000 housing units in a strategic location in the north of Jeddah Governorate on the Al-Haramain Expressway opposite King Abdullah Sports City, about 5 minutes away from Al Madinah Expressway, and about 15 minutes from King Abdulaziz International Airport and Jeddah Corniche.
