Saudi aid agency continues relief work in Jordan

AMMAN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is continuing to distribute winter kits in Jordan as part of the project’s second phase, the Saudi Press Agency reported. KSrelief, in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charitable Organization, recently distributed 2,706 blankets and 1,353 winter bags to needy Jordanian families and Syrian and Palestinian refugees in a number of governorates, helping thousands of people. The aid comes within the framework of projects being implemented by the Kingdom to alleviate suffering and improve the livelihoods of refugees and families in Jordan. KSrelief clinics provided medical services to 425 Syrian patients in one day at Jordan’s Zaatari refugee camp. The camp’s clinics are a part of the humanitarian aid that KSrelief provides to Syrian refugees on behalf of Saudi Arabia. General medicine clinics received 171 patients, while those responsible for internal medicine dealt with 13 people with diabetes, hypertension and asthma. Sixty-five patients visited pediatric centers and 21 were treated at the emergency department. Two dental clinics handled 31 cases.
