Saudi Arabia signs MoU with Azerbaijan to enhance cooperation

Saudi General Bureau for Auditing’s President Dr. Hossam bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Angari has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan, Mr. Vugar Gulmammadov in order to improve cooperation in the field of accounting, control, and professional work.

The MoU was signed in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah bin Khudair.

Established in 1953, Saudi General Bureau for Auditing achieves financial discipline, improves the performance of the government agencies, monitors all the movable and immovable funds, and verifies its proper use. It also works to consolidate the principles of transparency and governance.

Dr. Hossam Al-Angari explained that the memorandum intends to improve cooperation between the two agencies in the areas of financial auditing and performance control, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in both countries, and within the framework of the main provisions and principles of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI).
