Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed receives heartfelt messages from UK’s Queen Elizabeth II, Saudi Crown Prince – Arabian Business

UK’s Queen Elizabeth II has sent a heartfelt message to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as the new President of the UAE following the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Queen – who recently celebrated her Platinum Jubilee to mark 70 years on the throne – shared her condolences and congratulations, as several world leaders including the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, French President Emmanuel Macron, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, China’s Xi Jinping, and India’s Narendra Modi reached out to the new leader of the UAE.

Queen Elizabeth II’s message read: “While it is under sorrowful circumstances, I offer my sincere and warmest congratulations on your appointment as President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. I look forward to the continuation of the strong and historic bonds between our two countries and peoples.”
