Amazon Web Services and ADIO roll out cloud training program for SMEs

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have launched a cloud training program to upskill, train and certify Abu Dhabi-based Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The program will provide SMEs with in-demand cloud skills, allowing them to accelerate their organizations’ digital transformation. AWS recently announced that it will open a cloud infrastructure region in the UAE in the first half of 2022, reflecting ADIO’s efforts to lure technology-related investments and companies to Abu Dhabi.

ADIO and AWS will work with Abu Dhabi local government entities focused on SME enablements, such as the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, to reach the program’s target audience.
