dnata announces $100m investment in green operations

UAE - Mubasher: dnata, a Dubai-based air and travel services provider, plans to invest $100 million in green operations in the upcoming two years to raise environmental efficiency across its global network.

This investment is in line with the company's objective to cut its carbon footprint by 20% by 2024 and by 50% by 2030, according to a press release on Thursday.

In the past few years, dnata has invested in advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency across its facilities and installed renewable energy features, including solar panels and electric vehicle charging at its existing facilities in the UK, Singapore, and Ireland.

The CEO of dnata Group, Steve Allen, said: "We have been making great progress on reducing our carbon footprint, minimising waste, and reducing energy and water consumption across our operations."

Allen added: "We will further increase our investments and efforts in strong cooperation with our partners to achieve our targets and preserve the environment for current and future generations."
