Dubai Chamber exports, re-exports grew 21.8% to Dhs147bn in January-August 2021

The value of exports and re-exports of Dubai Chamber members increased 21.8 per cent year-over-year to reach Dhs147.3bn in January-August 2021. The Chamber added that the exports and re-exports of its members recorded a year-on-year growth of 43.9 per cent, reaching Dhs21.4bn in August 2021. A total of 58,154 certificates of origin were issued by Dubai Chamber in August 2021, up from 48,129 certificates in the previous month. The GCC was the top export market for Dubai Chamber members between January and August 2021. Chamber members’ exports and re-exports to the GCC countries during the first eight months of the year recorded a growth of 16.4 per cent year-on-year to Dhs79.6bn. GCC markets accounted for 53 per cent of the total exports and re-exports of members during the month. Members’ exports and re-exports to GCC countries reached Dhs11.4bn in August 2021, jumping 37 per cent compared to the previous month. Chamber members’ exports and re-exports to the top 10 non-GCC markets recorded a growth rate of over 31 per cent during the first eight months of 2021.
