UAE Business: Emirates Health Services in tie-up to enhance health standards – Gulf Digital News

Emirates Health Services (EHS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) to collaborate towards realising the highest regional and global health standards.

The MoU is in line with EHS’ efforts to adopt quality and excellence standards as a key pillar of its operations, expanding its base of influential strategic partners and building advanced frameworks for collaboration towards achieving common objectives.

The agreement was signed as EHS took part in the European Foundation for Quality Management Middle East Forum, held in Dubai, marking the first time the event is held in the Middle East, with Dr Yousif Mohammed Al-Serkal, Director-General of EHS, in attendance, along with Paul Little, Chair of the European Foundation for Quality Management, and several department heads from both entities.

Set of common goals

As per the MoU, the two institutions will cooperate on a set of common goals, including building leadership capabilities in healthcare, in addition to developing, planning, and implementing the EHS Award for Distinguished Healthcare Provider, a local and international award to honour the outstanding performance of healthcare facilities and providers.
