UAE Business: Ireland at Expo unveils St Patrick’s Festival events – Gulf Digital News

The Ireland Pavilion at Expo 2020 has announced an exciting line-up of events, performances and activities for Ireland’s National Day, St. Patrick’s Day on March 17. Festivities will begin with animation and screen events on March 15 and 16. 

"St Patrick’s Day provides a special opportunity to share the best of Irish culture and heritage with our friends around the world and there is no place better to do so than Expo 2020 Dubai," said a statement.

Friends and families alike have a unique opportunity to celebrate their Irishness, or become ‘Irish for a day’ at Expo 2020 Dubai. "This special festival enables us to reconnect our people, reconnect our communities and reconnect Ireland with the world. Ireland is open again, to visitors, for trade and business, to new ideas and innovation and the St. Patrick’s Festival programme showcases all that Ireland has to offer," said officials. 

Officially launched by Catherine Martin TD, Ireland’s Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media at the Ireland Pavilion on February 16, the St. Patrick’s Festival at Expo will see a full multi-strand programme of initiatives across business, culture, sport, community and screen.
