UAE Business: Seychelles, GIN launch social platform at Expo 2020 – Gulf Digital News

Seychelles and Global Impact Network (GIN) partnered recently at the Dubai Expo 2020 in an event launching the sustainable-centred social platform in the island nation's pavilion.

Crowning Seychelles once again as one of the pioneers of sustainability in its region, the event opened with an avant-garde ecological call out from the 90s, titled "Don't Let Them Die", by celebrated local artist, Joe Samy, in the presence of Ambassador Jean-Claude Adrienne, Commissioner General and Seychelles Ambassador in Abu Dhabi; Global Impact Representative, Tatiana Sharpe; and a delegation from the Seychelles Pavilion including Country Manager, John Addo-Obiri; Director, Maria Azemia; Deputy Commissioner, Galen Bresson; and staff members.

The Seychelles Team was joined by students from Dwight School Dubai, a school with a strong belief that sustainability is central to building a better future and committed to fostering the next generation of global leaders and ethical citizens. The school commits itself to a more sustainable lifestyle through the adoption of daily practices, and, through the Global Impact Network, aim to maximise student interest in such lifestyle.
