The decision came during the 68th meeting of the council chaired by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, yesterday. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the council, attended the meeting.

Ahmed Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General, also attended along with board members Dawood Al Hajiri, Director General of Dubai Municipality; Abdulla bin Kalban, Managing Director of Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA); Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC); Juan-Pablo Freile, General Manager of Dubai Petroleum; and Nasser Abu Shehab, CEO of the Strategy & Corporate Governance Sector at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA).

The meeting discussed several topics including the successful launch of Dewa-SAT 1, part of Dewa’s Space-D programme, that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched in January 2021.
