UAE ranks 3rd among 27 emerging economies in Future Readiness Economic Index

The UAE has been placed in the first position among the Arab countries and third among 27 emerging economies around the world in 'The Future Readiness Economic Index' published by the Portulans Institute (PI) in Washington, D.C. Developed in partnership with Google, the index enables governments, businesses, and analysts comprehensive milestones to assess their digital transformation and readiness for the future, according to a recent press release. The UAE has been placed in the 23rd position globally in terms of the index, which is based on four pillars: institutions and infrastructure, technology, talents, and innovation. The UAE came in the fourth and sixth positions globally in attracting and growing human skills, respectively. Meanwhile, the country ranked sixth in general infrastructure, 12th in the knowledge, technology, and creative outputs, and third in technical skills and the use of modern technology.
