Dubai Investments signs contract to open Carrefour store in Mirdif Hills

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Investments has inked a contract with Carrefour, owned by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE, to open a new store in Mirdif Hills in Dubai, according to a press release.

Set to be opened in April 2021, the new Carrefour outlet will be located at Mirdif Avenue, the commercial complex within Mirdif Hills, to provide services to residents living in Mirdif Hills and the visitors from the surrounding areas.

Mirdif Avenue will also include a 4-star hotel, serviced apartments, residential units, retail spaces, and freehold office spaces.

The General Manager of Dubai Investment Real Estate (DIR), Obaid Salami, said: "With 1500 residential units within the community and with the Janayen residential cluster housing residents, Mirdif Hills will attract footfall from the surrounding areas, further expanding Carrefour's customer database."

The Country Manager of Carrefour UAE at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, Philippe Peguilhan, commented: "The new store will boost the local economy by creating more employment opportunities — helping to realise the considerable potential of people in and from the local community."
