Dubai shuts down coffee shop, fines 9 businesses

Inspection officials of the Dubai Economy on Monday closed down a coffee shop in Al Seef and fined 9 other businesses for not adhering to mandatory precautionary measures to keep a check on increasing Covid-19 cases.

In a tweet, Dubai Economy announced that a coffee shop has been closed down in cooperation with the Department of Tourism and Commerce for flouting safety measures.

While 668 businesses were found compliant with precautionary measures, 6 were let off with warning following the inspections.

Stressing that any non-compliance will be dealt with firmly and in accordance with the laid-down procedures, Dubai Economy urged people in an earlier tweet to report Covid-19 rules violation by either clicking picture of the respective facility and uploading it
