Dubai telecom firm EITC unveils revamped operating model

Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, or EITC, the holding group of du, announced on Thursday a new operating model designed to digitally future-proof and enhance the telco's ability to adapt to evolving market dynamics.

The revamp, to be implemented in the fourth quarter, involves the introduction of five empowered and versatile functions "to bring in more passion for customers, to be a better partner to the ecosystem, and to create faster digital transformation," the Dubai-based firm said.

The redesign of the telecom's operating model is subsequent to its first-half results a 38 per cent fall in net profit due to a decline in revenues triggered by "movement restrictions, low business activities and a shift in customer behavior due to Covid-19."
