UAE extends waiver for residency law violators till end of the year

The UAE has granted a waiver to violators of entry and residency law until the end of the year.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship announced that the exemption for all entry and residency visa violations that occurred before March 1, will be extended till December 31.

The exemption covers all financial fines related to the Emirates Identity cards, work permits, as well as the waiver of all administrative restrictions, upon leaving the country.

Major General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports, said that the extension is to enable violators to adjust their status in the UAE before the end of the year.
