A staggering 82 per cent of organisations in the UAE suffered at least one cyber-attack in 2019, according to the 2020 UAE IT Leaders Study conducted by cyber security company Proofpoint.

The study also found that 55 per cent of security leaders believe human error and lack of security awareness is a risk factor for their organisation, with up to 39 per cent stating their employees "make their business vulnerable to a cyber attack“.
